Squarespace Web Design

Squarespace website that looks good. and works harder.

Squarespace gives you the design foundation. It doesn't give you the strategy. We build Squarespace sites that are structured around how a prospect decides to book or inquire, not a template with your logo swapped in.

The real problem

The site looks fine. It just isn't doing anything.

Squarespace makes it easy to publish something that looks professional. It doesn't stop a site from quietly underperforming. These are the six issues we see most often on Squarespace sites that were never built with a strategy behind them.

01

A template used with nothing changed

Default section order, default copy prompts half-answered, default imagery never swapped for anything real. The site announces which template it is before it says anything about the business.

02

No clear path to booking or inquiring

Multiple buttons doing slightly different things, or no consistent call to action at all. A visitor who's ready to reach out has to work out how.

03

Copy that describes the business instead of the client's problem

Pages full of "we believe," "our mission," and service lists, with nothing that speaks to what the visitor is trying to solve.

04

Mobile treated as an afterthought

Desktop looks considered. Mobile, where most first visits happen, has cramped spacing, oversized images, and text that was never checked at a phone width.

05

SEO left untouched from the Squarespace defaults

Auto-generated page titles, empty meta descriptions, no structured data. The site is invisible to search for anything beyond the business's own name.

06

Booking, forms, and email all disconnected from each other

A scheduler that doesn't talk to the CRM, a contact form that goes into a folder nobody checks, an email list that never gets used. Every system works in isolation.

Who this is for

Is a Squarespace build right for your business?

A plain Squarespace website is the right fit for a specific kind of business. Here's how to tell.

Good fit

This is right for youif you check most of these boxes.

You're a service business or professional practice with no product catalogue to manage
You want a site that reflects the level you operate at, not a generic starting point
You need booking, inquiry, or contact flows that work cleanly on mobile
You want SEO foundations built in from the start, not bolted on later
You want one platform that's simple for you to update yourself after launch

Not the right fit

This isn't right for youif any of these sound familiar.

You sell physical or digital products as part of your business
You're running a dedicated ecommerce operation with a large catalogue
You haven't chosen a template yet and want to browse options first
You're not sure which platform is right at all

What we build

A site built around one job: converting.

Every Squarespace build starts from strategy, not from a template gallery. Here's what gets built.

01

A custom-configured Squarespace site

Built on a QBD template or from a licensed Squarespace template, restructured section by section around your positioning, not left as a generic starting point.

02

Conversion-focused page architecture

Every page built to answer one question: what should this visitor do next. Navigation, page order, and calls to action all point toward the same outcome.

03

Mobile-first responsive build

Checked and refined at phone width first, not as an afterthought once desktop is finished.

04

Squarespace SEO foundations

Page titles, meta descriptions, header structure, and schema markup set up correctly before launch, not left on Squarespace's defaults.

05

Booking, scheduling, and form integration

Your scheduler, contact forms, and email platform connected so a lead doesn't disappear into three different disconnected systems.

06

Analytics and tracking

Google Analytics 4 and Search Console configured from day one, so you can see what's happening on the site instead of guessing.

What is included

A complete Squarespace build.

Every Squarespace website build includes the full infrastructure: strategy, design, copy structure, and the SEO foundation. Nothing left half-finished.

Strategy session: positioning, sitemap, and page priorities confirmed before build begins
Custom Squarespace design and build: structured around your business, not a template left as-is
Copywriting guidance and content structure: you provide the words, we structure and edit for conversion
Mobile-first responsive build: checked and refined at phone width, not just resized from desktop
Squarespace SEO foundations: titles, meta descriptions, headers, and schema set up before launch
Booking and form integration: scheduler and contact forms connected to your existing systems
Google Analytics 4 and Search Console setup: tracking configured from day one
Recorded handover and documentation: how to edit your own site day to day
Two rounds of revisions: built into every engagement, no separate change-request process

Questions

Before you get started.

If your question is not here, the strategy call is the right place to ask it.

No. We can set one up as part of the engagement, or work within an existing account if you have one.
No. We only implement QBD-built templates. Learning an unfamiliar template's structure adds time to the build, increases the risk of technical issues, and third-party templates are often not properly formatted for SEO. If you've purchased a template elsewhere, we can still help, just as a custom build rather than a templated implementation.
You provide the content: copy, photos, case studies. We organise, structure, and edit it for conversion, but content creation from scratch is scoped separately.
Three to four weeks from when you deliver your content. Timeline is confirmed after scoping.
Your full call fee ($197 or $350) is applied toward any QBD service booked within 14 days of the call.
Start with a strategy call. We'll review your situation and recommend the right starting point: Template Implementation, a custom build, or something else entirely.
No. All engagements are conducted remotely, so we work with clients anywhere. Canada and the US make up the majority of our current client base.

The right path depends on where you are.

A strategy call is the right starting point. We review your current site, confirm whether a plain Squarespace build is the right fit, and scope what needs to happen next.
