Professional Services Website

Your website should reflect your expertise.

Most professional service websites look like the business has something to hide. Yours should make the prospect feel they have already found the right firm before they have read a single line of copy.

Why most fail

Three reasons your website is not working.

Professional service websites fail in predictable ways. None of them are design problems. They are all positioning and strategy problems — which is why redesigning without a brief almost always produces the same result at a higher price.

01

It says what you do. Not why you are the choice.

A list of services is not positioning. Prospects visiting three competitor websites see roughly the same content. Your website needs to communicate the thing that makes choosing you the obvious decision — before they have even contacted you.

02

It was built to look credible, not to convert.

Credibility and conversion are different goals that require different structures. A website that builds trust but has no clear next step for a qualified visitor is expensive decoration. Every page needs to know what it is asking the visitor to do.

03

Referrals kept it off the priority list too long.

Referral-dependent businesses often have the worst websites in their category because growth never required a good one. That stops being true the moment referrals slow, a competitor gets serious about digital, or you decide to grow beyond your existing network.

04

Trust signals are there. Nobody sees them.

Credentials, results, and client names exist somewhere on the site — usually buried on an about page nobody reads. The moments that build confidence need to appear exactly where the visitor is deciding whether to trust you.

05

It takes a developer to change a word.

Built on a platform that requires technical help for routine updates. Every small change becomes a ticket, a delay, and a reason the site quietly goes stale.

06

Invisible when prospects search.

Professional buyers research before they ever pick up the phone. A site with no SEO foundation does not show up in that research — no matter how good the work behind it is.

What we build

Every element earns its place.

Every decision starts with strategy — positioning, audience, and conversion goals — before a single element is designed. The build reflects that thinking at every level of the site.

01

Positioning and messaging architecture

Before design begins, we establish your positioning statement, the problem you solve, the client you serve, and the language that communicates authority without sounding like every other firm in your category.

02

Conversion-first page structure

Every page is structured around a specific visitor and a specific outcome. The homepage earns trust and routes visitors forward. Service pages answer the questions a qualified prospect is asking. The contact path is clear, low-friction, and deliberate.

03

Trust architecture

Credentials, case studies, client results, and social proof positioned where they do the most work — not buried in an about page no one reads. The site should answer the questions your prospects are silently asking before they have to ask them.

04

SEO and AEO foundations

Every build includes technical SEO setup, on-page optimisation, and basic AEO structuring — so the site is indexed correctly, loads fast, and is positioned to appear in both traditional search and AI-powered tools from day one.

05

Independent operation

We build on Squarespace — a platform you can manage without a developer. You receive a recorded walkthrough and clear documentation. Routine updates, blog posts, and new service pages do not require our involvement after launch.

What is included

Service pages — one per core offering, structured for conversion and search visibility
Blog / insights setup — ready for content from day one
Lead magnet and opt-in setup — Flodesk connected, email capture live
Strategy call booking integration — Calendly embedded, paid call infrastructure ready
SEO foundations — page titles, meta descriptions, schema, sitemap, Search Console connected

Who this is for

Built for specific situations.

This service is for professionals and firms at a specific point — where the website is visibly limiting growth, whether through poor positioning, low credibility signals, or a complete absence of an inbound channel.

Solo practitioner

Expert positioning, personal brand at the front

You are the product. Prospects are hiring your thinking and your track record. The site needs to lead with your credibility, surface your results, and make booking a conversation frictionless.

Management consultants and fractional executives
Wealth advisors and financial planners

Boutique firm

Company-led, team as proof of capability

Your brand leads. The team supports it. The site needs to communicate the firm's positioning, specialisation, and the kind of work you do — without looking like a brochure from 2017.

Corporate and commercial lawyers
HR, operations, and strategy consultants

Growth stage

Established enough to need a real digital presence

You have the track record and the clients. The website does not reflect it. You are losing prospects to competitors who look more credible online — even when your work is better.

Chartered accountants and bookkeepers
Multi-partner firms and growing advisory practices

Referral-dependent

Ready to add an inbound channel alongside referrals

Referrals are working, but you know they will not always be enough. You want a website that can generate inbound enquiries on its own — not just validate referrals who would have hired you anyway.

Any professional practice relying primarily on word of mouth today
Firms ready to reduce reliance on personal networks

Not the right fit

Pre-revenue or still testing the model

If you are still working out your service offering or have not yet worked with paying clients, a QBD template is the right starting point. Full implementation works best when there is proven service, existing clients, and content to build from.

How it works

The process, start to launch.

Every engagement follows the same structure. Timeline: two to three weeks from when you deliver your content. The timeline is driven primarily by how quickly you can provide content and feedback — not by build speed.

01

Strategy Session

A structured conversation covering your business, your clients, your competitors, and your goals. This produces the brief that guides every design and copy decision. No discovery form. A real conversation with the person building your site.

60–90 minutes · Included in all engagements

02

Scope and Proposal

A clear written scope — pages, inclusions, timeline, and investment. You approve it before any work begins. No ambiguity on either side about what is included and what is not.

Delivered within 48 hours of strategy session

03

Content Collection

You provide your existing content — past proposals, presentations, LinkedIn profile, case study notes, headshot. We work with what you have. You do not need to write fresh copy from scratch. If you have nothing, we can discuss a content build-out as an add-on.

You provide · We organise and implement

04

Build and Midpoint Review

We build in Squarespace and share a staging link at the midpoint for your review. You give feedback on structure, copy, and visual direction. We incorporate changes before the final delivery round.

Staging link shared at midpoint · Two revision rounds

05

Launch and Handover

We go live, connect your domain, and walk you through the completed site on a recorded session. You receive documentation on how to manage updates, publish articles, and edit content. No ongoing dependency required.

Recorded walkthrough · Documentation included

Investment

Three paths. One destination.

The right starting point depends on how much is ready and how much professional execution you need. All three paths produce a conversion-first website built on the same strategic framework.

Common questions

Straight answers.

If your question is not here, the strategy call is the right place to ask it. We cover your specific situation on the call — not a generic overview.

We build exclusively on platforms our clients can manage independently after launch. Squarespace is genuinely excellent for professional service businesses — fast, reliable, and editable without a developer. Shopify is the standard for businesses that also sell products. We are not generalists. We know these platforms deeply, and that specificity produces better outcomes.
We can audit any website and identify what is holding it back — regardless of platform. Our implementation and build services are reserved for Squarespace and Shopify. If you are on another platform, the strategy call will give you a clear picture of what to fix, and the decision of whether to migrate is yours to make with full information.
Existing content works well — past proposals, presentations, your LinkedIn profile, any case study notes, and a professional headshot. You do not need to write fresh copy from scratch. We extract and organise what you already have. If you have no content to work from, we can discuss a content build-out as an add-on at the strategy session.
Template Implementation: two to three weeks from when you deliver your content. The timeline is driven primarily by how quickly you can provide content and feedback — not by our build speed. We keep things moving on our end. Custom builds (2027) typically run six to ten weeks depending on scope.
Your full call fee — $197 or $350 — is applied toward any QBD service booked within 14 days of the call. When you are ready to move forward, reference your call and we apply it directly. No codes, no forms.
Not as a standard offering. We build sites you can manage. Routine content changes, new service pages, and blog posts do not require our involvement. If you need occasional project-based updates after launch, we are available on that basis — but we do not want you dependent on us for routine work. That is a design principle, not a gap in our service.
No. All engagements are conducted remotely, so we work with clients anywhere. Canada and the US make up the majority of our current client base, but strategy sessions, reviews, and handovers all happen over video call regardless of where you are.
